Commissioner's Office Announces One-Time 2022 Draft Changes

The Roger Dorn Baseball League Commissioner's Office has formally announced a pair of changes put in place for the 2022 Draft, both instituted due to the unique circumstances of this year's Spring Training schedule.

The 9th Annual Roger Dorn Baseball League Draft is scheduled for Wednesday, 3/30 at 1pm PST.

Keeper Rosters Due Sunday, March 27th

Annually, Keeper Rosters are due seven days prior to Draft Day. We will shorten this window to just 3 days before Draft Day this season to allow teams 10 full days of Spring Training games for further evaluation. The full RDBL Free Agent sheet will be published as soon as all Keeper Rosters have been submitted.

MLB Roster Resource Used for Reserve Draft Eligibility/Contract Status

With the shortness of Spring Training and our Draft Day take place more than a week before Opening Day, the RDBL Commissioner's Office will place all decisions regarding Minor League or Major League contract status on MLB Roster Resource on the day of the draft.

MLB Roster Resource is a trusted publication with up to the minute updates and the best projection of Opening Day rosters available.

A player not projected on the 26-man roster on Draft Day that has Rookie eligibility will not be permitted to be drafted in Auction. That player will carry a Minor League RDBL contract if selected in the Reserve Draft.

Additionally, pitchers with SP and RP eligibility on CBS will be slotted into the space projected by MLB Roster Resource on Draft Day.

Reach out the RDBL Commissioner's Office with any inquiries or questions.
