He is Risen! (The Falcons)

I know what you're thinking, who in the world would have seen it coming?!?!? Zack Wheeler just put the franchise on his back, and marched them straight up the standings. The 40 point masterpiece matches the previous opus of John Means of the Hops just a night prior. However, The Mouth of the South is not impressed by the Hops scamper into 9th place. The franchise was earmarked as a wild card team before the season began, and should be doing better. But the Falcons, the team that never rebuilds and just retools, were destined for a tear down. And just a few days into the season, are Co-GMs Gary and Erik kicking the tires on what 1 or 2 of their hitting prospects from their loaded stable could potentially bring back in a trade return?

The Mouth's First Hypothetical Trade of the Season: Falcons send OF Zac Veen to the Taters for 3B/OF J.D. Davis.

Why? Veen has superstar potential, being selected 9th in the 2020 MLB Draft and landing in Colorado for a potential future Coors Field bump, but at 19 years old he is still a few years out. Meanwhile, Davis is a 2FA who would be an immediate upgrade over Rowdy Tellez and Andrew Benintendi in the Falcons lineup, if the Falcons decide to start seeing if this current composition of players could make a push for the Wild Card.
