On The Lookout: Thursday, 5/13

Stacks Duo Debuts

The Alamo Short Stacks will have all eyes on the Mariners on Thursday night as their top overall prospect and 2021 1st Round Pick are both set for their debuts. Jarred Kelenic and Logan Gilbert are both expected in the lineup against the Indians with the Stacks hopeful both players position themselves as surefire activation options in a potential 2021 Playoff scenario.

Corbin Burnes Returns

The Hammerheads have had to work through both Corbin Burnes and Jacob deGrom being sidelined but the Brewers star will make his return Thursday. Burnes has compiled a 1.53 ERA and 0.55 WHIP through 29.0 innings thus far in 2021.

Crats Holding Strong

The Las Vegas Aristocrats were showing signs of fading but have bounced back in a big way this week thanks to a big day on the mound Wednesday which included 25.0 points from activation Max Fried. The 'Crats boast the league's top offense and will look to keep hold of the final Wild Card spot on Thursday despite not having a starter scheduled.

Goutfish Look to Return Favor

The Short Stacks put some pressure on the leading Lake Merced Goutfish on Wednesday as they sent four starters to the mound. GM Ryan Atkinson's club will return the favor with three of his own as Anthony DeSclafani, Zach Plesac and Lance Lynn are scheduled.

Daniel Lynch Looking for Luck of the Clover

There's not many ways to spin a positive light on the start to Daniel Lynch's big league career. His held his own in his debut but lasted just 2/3 of an inning in his second outing, allowing eight runs against the White Sox. The well-regarded left-hander will look to kick things into gear Thursday against the Tigers.
