On The Lookout: Wednesday, 4/13

An early slate of games on getaway day is in store on Wednesday with action already underway in Atlanta. The Spokane Fightin' Fish continue to perform on a daily basis, leading the league in scoring while the Lake Merced Goutfish try and keep pace while owning the top spot in the Peninsula Division.

Here's the latest to keep an eye out for on Wednesday.

Lodolo Debut

The Devils have a flurry of young talent both on the Active Roster and in the Minors. Another impressive talent is set for his big league debut Wednesday as Nick Lodolo will take the hill for the Reds. Between Double-A Chattanooga and Louisville in 2021, Lodolo compiled a 2.31 ERA and 0.97 WHIP while striking out 38.8 percent of the batters he faced across 50.2 innings.

Big Day for 'Crats

The Aristocrats have sputtered out of the gates, sitting in 12th place entering play Wednesday but they send their top two pitchers to the mound in Max Scherzer (@PHI) and Max Fried (vs.WSH), hoping for a big day in the standings.

Shake Off Darvish

The St. Joseph Jokers dropped from 2nd to 11th following a -45.0 point outing from Yu Darvish in San Francisco. Spanning his final start against the Giants last year, Darvish has allowed 17 earned runs in just 5 2/3 at Oracle Park.

The Jokers will look to shake off the negative start with Nate Eovaldi and Kyle Hendricks on the mound today.

Fish Pulling Away

After topping the standings in Period 1, the Fightin' Fish have a league-high 114.0 points in Period 2 and will send their ace Gerrit Cole to the mound Tuesday against the Blue Jays. Steven Kwan continues to shine, leading all hitters in scoring with 38.5 points while slashing .667/.750/.933.

Franco Fever

Wander Franco has been as advertised for the Devils, slashing .550/.545/.800 in 20 at-bats this season, cashing in on his activation by GM Jason Watson. Franco ranks third in hitter scoring entering play Wednesday.

Positive Pitching Points for the Stacks?

The Stacks finally reached 0.0 pitching points after sitting in the negative every day of the season so far. The club doesn't have a starter, but will look for their first positive relief appearance of the season which could come from Kenley Jansen Wednesday morning who has just one outing thus far.
