The Roger Dorn Baseball League released their Organizational Top 10 Prospect Lists on Tuesday morning following the league's 2021 Reserve Draft as well as four trades that were announced Monday evening. Rebuilding clubs like the Mission Viejo Maulers and Idaho Taters saw substantial jumps in both players and overall values as both Front Offices look well on their way to building contenders as soon as 2022.
The RDBL Reserve Draft's top four picks each slotted in as their RDBL clubs second ranked prospect with Austin Martin (Aristocrats), CJ Abrams (Hops), Riley Greene (Devils) and Triston Casas (Falcons) all slotting in right behind Max Fried Andrew Vaughn, Wander Franco and Nick Madrigal respectively.
The 5th overall picked broke that cycle, but hardly for bad reasons as hot riser right-hander Jack Leiter slots in as the Taters' 4th ranked prospect in a newly loaded Farm System that ranks among the league's best.
We will follow up with a Farm System Ranking in the coming weeks.
