Action on Honolulu Hammerheads catcher Willson Contreras (2/$23) has started to heat up according to sources with the Lunatic Fringe, Maltese Falcons and Mt. Diablo Devils among the clubs lined to the backstop. Contreras finished sixth in catcher scoring in 2021 with 21 home runs and 20 doubles and holds the fifth highest projection at the position for 2022.
The Heads will face competition in the catcher trade market as Idaho Taters slugger Mike Zunino (2FA/$5) is also being heavily shopped with a lower asking price according to clubs.

- With the news of Clayton Kershaw's (3/$31) return to the Dodgers on a 1-year deal, the Grapes have officially placed the left-hander on the market according to sources. The club is also open to moving third baseman Brian Anderson (2/$15).
- The Lake Merced Goutfish are hardly settled in the starting rotation as the club awaits work on the health of Lance McCullers (2/$18). GM Ryan Atkinson has expressed a willingness to discuss deals of Anthony DeSclafani (2FA/$5), Aaron Nola (2/$43) and Dakota Hudson (2FA/$5) as well as hitters Josh Bell (2/$27) and Ian Happ (2/$20).
- While the Falcons had a tremendous season at the big league level in 2021, their Farm System as a whole took a step backwards. With 14 prospects under contract, the club is looking to create some space for the 2022 Reserve Draft leaving potential buy-low opportunities for the likes of Jeter Downs, Trevor Larnach, Heliot Ramos and Kristian Robinson.
- The Alamo Short Stacks reportedly have a deal in place to move reliever Jake McGee (2/$1) for a mid-round pick, but the Front Office is awaiting the Free Agent signing of Kenley Jansen before making things official. The club wants to ensure Jansen is in a closer role before moving McGee according to a source close to the club.
