The Lake Merced Goutfish continue to wrestle with their final roster decisions and are currently leaning towards trading or dropping right-hander Noah Syndergaard (2/$17), instead favoring Aaron Nola (2/$43) and his 443.0 projection to head their returning starting rotation. He would slot in ahead of Freddy Peralta, Dylan Cease and Anthony DeSclafani as currently projected.
Syndergaard could certainly have a market, as could right-hander Dakota Hudson (2FA/$5) who has been linked to the Cloverdale Clovers and Meinert Hops according to sources. Syndergaard will be part of a six-man rotation in Anaheim with the hope he can contribute 130-140 innings in 2022.

- Lunatic Fringe right-hander Chris Flexen (2FA/$5) is also drawing interest across the league as clubs make final tweaks to their Keeper Lists due on Sunday. Flexen is projected for 331.0 points after posting 376.0 in 2021 with a 3.61 ERA and 1.25 WHIP.
- The 'Crats have officially reached out to clubs on the availability of Nolan Arenado (2/$38), Starling Marte (3/$31), Randy Arozarena (2/$25), Nelson Cruz (2/$20) and Justin Turner (3/$14) according to sources. The club is reportedly looking for controllable assets under cheap contracts in return with the starting rotation as a focal point in talks.
Marte might have the strongest market but has yet to swing a bat this camp as he continues to deal with a sore oblique. Marte carries a monster 542.0 point projection by CBS Sports and said he hopes to take swings in the cage in the next couple of days but it remains something with monitoring.
