2021 Top 100 Prospects by MLB Pipeline

MLB Pipeline posted their annual Top 100 Prospect List this week which was led by Mt. Diablo Devils shortstop Wander Franco for the second consecutive year. Franco was also named the top prospect in baseball by Baseball America which posted their Top 100 earlier in the week.

Just like the Baseball America Top 100, the Cloverdale Clovers led all Roger Dorn Baseball League organizations with six representatives. That group was topped by the 2nd ranked prospect Adley Rutschman who was the Clovers 1st Round pick in 2019. Royce Lewis (17), Daniel Lynch (29), Michael Kopech (39), Spencer Howard (42) and Oneil Cruz (64) rounded out the list for GM Chris Shelley.

The Idaho Taters, Alamo Short Stacks and Honolulu Hammerheads continued to receive rave reviews for their young assets as well. The Taters placed four prospects in the Top 100 including three of the top 10 players and four of the top 25. GM Mike Friedrich's group was led by slugging infielder Spencer Torkelson who checked in at 3rd overall with Ke'Bryan Hayes (9), Nate Pearson (10) and Matt Manning (25) following close behind.

The Stacks were led by Jarred Kelenic (4) and placed all five eligible prospects in their Farm System in the Top 32. MacKenzie Gore (6) ranked as the top pitching prospect according to MLB Pipeline while Marco Luciano (16), Emerson Hancock (31) and Jasson Dominguez (32) checked in closely behind.

Lastly, the Hammerheads continued their strong move in the Farm System rankings by placing five players in the Top 100. Their group was led by outfielder Cristian Pache (12) along with activation potentials Ian Anderson (18) and Alex Kiriloff (26). Potential 2022 activations Jazz Chisholm (66) and Tyler Stephenson (95) also made the cut.
